Elgar original reference

The seeds of this book date back to 2005, since which time we have received valuable help and insights from many inspirational people to whom we owe a debt of gratitude. Prior to this book we have presented our papers on longitudinal research methods in the following conferences: the Beijing International Conference on Applied Business Research in 2005 (China); the Academy of International Business (AIB) Conference in Manchester in 2006 (UK); the conference on Qualitative Research Methods in Vaasa in 2008 (Finland); the European Conference on Research Methods in Business and Management (ECRM) in London in 2008 (UK) and in Valletta in 2009 (Malta). Our warmest thanks go out to the reviewers, commentators and participants of these conferences who have provided us with valuable feedback on our concepts on longitudinal research. We are very grateful to Edward Elgar Publishing, particularly to Ben Booth who encouraged us to send a publication proposal back in 2008. We would also like to thank all the persons at Edward Elgar Publishing (who helped in finalizing this book in its printed form). Their support has been invaluable. We would also like to express our gratitude to the anonymous reviewers provided by the publisher. They provided us great feedback on the publication proposal in the first phases of this project.
