This research volume consists of a series of tools for assessing national competitiveness. MASI (Measure–Analyze–Simulate–Implement) is the foundation on which this book addresses policy implications for enhancing national competitiveness. The MASI approach includes: _ Measure: Double Diamond (DD)-based 9-Factor Model (IPS Model) for measuring national competitiveness. _ Analyze: 3 _ 3 framework for classifying country groups. _ Simulate: application of business strategy model (cost vs. differentiation) to the analysis of national competitiveness. _ Implement: series of viable strategies for enhancing national competitiveness. In this chapter, the MASI methodology is briefly described and guidance on using this research is provided for users in public and business sectors.
