During the last half century, gender differences in labor force participation, political representation, and educational attainment have declined in Sweden as well as in other industrialized countries (Nermo 1999; Korpi 2000; Statistics Sweden 2008).Nonetheless, women still fall short in comparison to men when it comes to wages and positions of authority (Halldén 2011; Boye et al. 2014).
