Lester Lloyd-Reason is Professor of International Enterprise Strategy and Director of the Centre for International Business Research and Development at the Ashcroft International Business School, Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge. He is a visiting professor at the University of Paris XIII and serves on the editorial board of a number of journals, including the International Small Business Journal (ISBJ). He is a trustee and member of the Board of Directors of the Institute for Small Business and Entrepreneurship. He has been researching and consulting in the area of entrepreneurial management of international SMEs for many years and has considerable experience of managing international research projects in the ﬁeld of small business support structures, both in central and eastern Europe and in the UK. He has received personal research grants from the British Academy and the Soros Foundation and has acted as strategic adviser to a number of organisations both within the private and public sectors. His current research interests revolve around skills and knowledge development in international small and medium-size enterprises, in particular the transfer of skills and knowledge between SMEs and higher education institutions. Heavily involved in the arts, he serves on the Board of Directors of Menagerie Theatre Company, a production company for new writing based in Cambridge. Leigh Sear is Director of Research at Wood Holmes Group, a research and consultancy business based in the North East of England.
