The Max Planck Study on the European Trade Mark System: a critical summary

Spyros Maniatis *

Abstract

This summary focuses on the proposals regarding substantive law with only a very brief overview of procedural issues. The emphasis here is on its potential effect on the development of trade mark law in Europe, although the Study also offers a very good review of the current trade mark jurisprudence in Europe.
