Chapter 7: Can PPIs be subjects of international law?
Restricted access

Chapter 7 assesses whether PPIs can be subjects of international law and, if so, how they may be categorized. An overview of the general form and composition of intergovernmental organizations leads to analysis of the challenges that face PPIs when domestic legal systems attempt to classify them. Traditional legal partnership analysis may apply to some PPI arrangements.
