Chapter 13: Capacity-building for the ARTists repertoire
Restricted access

Part Three, Chapter Five dives into what is needed in a minimalist ARTist's repertoire. A "protainer" is described as the quality of the shared space that leads to ART. For this agreements, inner and outer, are explored. An inner example of a quality relational space is self-awareness. Many tools that can be helpful in creating this such as personality assessments and conversations about difficult experiences with developmental friends. This self-awareness is required also in conceptual space, where the work is to look within to reframe what has shaped our thinking so we can truly relate to others. Helpful tools in the repertoire include: relational meditation and mapping out who the key stakeholders are. From here, scenario planning can take us from concepts to action and real transformation.
