Chapter 24: Feminist analyses of popular culture

This chapter begins with a presentation of arguments for organization scholars to pay attention to trends and developments in popular culture. Next come examples of feminist analyses of various popular media, with a focus on their role in shaping public opinion. In concluding I emphasize the fact that in the present medialized reality, popular culture may have the last word in forming young people’s gender perceptions.
