Chapter 16: Longitudinal designs, big data, and social network analysis in organization development and change research
Restricted access

In this chapter, we focus on three quantitative methodological considerations in studying organizational change. The first two methods, Accelerated Failure Time (AFT) analysis and Generalized Estimating Equations (GEE) entail understanding change from a temporal and longitudinal perspective. The third approach deals with Big Data use in assessing organizational development and change through social network analyses. All three quantitative methods are illustrated by using grounded examples from the authors’ previous studies. Broader implications for organizational development and change research are discussed
