Chapter 3: Delimitation with environment, common commercial policy, and common foreign and security policy
Restricted access

Chapter 3 continues the assessment started in Chapter 2 by further determining the area's boundaries with other closely linked EU policy and competence areas. These other areas concern environmental protection, the common commercial policy (CCP), and the common foreign and security policy (CFSP). This analysis covers an assessment of the case law of the Court of Justice on the choice of the correct legal basis, its application to the scope of EU development cooperation, and the delimitation with other areas, as well as an assessment of international agreements and measures that find themselves at the crossroads of development cooperation on the one hand and environment, the CCP, and the CFSP on the other hand.
