Chapter 10: Government regulations

This chapter presents a general overview of the role of government as it pertains to B≈H. The focus in this chapter is on the role of the federal government, but state or local government may also be involved. Human resource professionals can apprise you of pertinent governmental rules and regulations. If your organization does not have a Human Resource (HR) person, you should nevertheless be aware of regulations that pertain to all organizations, including small organizations. You could also contact the EEOC or another human resource organization for information. In any event, there are government regulations that apply to any organization, although those regulations may be different for private as opposed to public organizations. And, of course, dealing with B‚âàH is the morally and ethically correct thing to do.
