Chapter 18: Sustainable and responsible agricultural investment in developing countries
Restricted access

Much of agricultural production is based on non-renewable natural resources. With sustainability and climate change issues taking centre stage in global and country-level policy discussions, sustainable and responsible investments have become imperative. Based on this background, this chapter reviews the literature on sustainable and responsible agricultural investment (SRAI) regarding the principles, investor considerations, inclusiveness, and incentives. It further discusses SRAI opportunities across asset classes and the challenges associated with SRAI.
