The development of farmer co-operatives is one of the most important issues facing China today. This chapter describes and compares the development path and status quo of three vegetable farmer co-operatives in China's Zhejiang province. The factors influencing the development path of the three farmer co-operatives are examined. Some key determinants contributing to co-operatives' sustainable development and some managerial implications are explored.
