Refugee children face considerable adversity which poses risks to their well-being. This chapter looks primarily at post-migration experiences and argues that while the vulnerability of refugee children is widely recognized, resilience and agency are also evident. In their efforts to integrate, these children generally seek to find a balance between adapting to their new environments while maintaining connections with their cultures of origin. As the integration process is negotiated, their resilience needs to be harnessed, whether through social support, religion, a broader supportive context or through other means.
