Chapter 6: Loss and damage under the Paris Agreement
Restricted access

This chapter picks up on the story of loss and damage under the Convention as set out in the previous chapter, beginning from its inclusion in the Paris Agreement. The chapter not only sets out the work done on loss and damage post-Paris, but also considers how the notion of loss and damage has evolved over the last five years. It also explains the ongoing discussions around the governance of the WIM, how the work of the WIM's Excom progressed in 2020 in the face of the pandemic, and provides insights into future of loss and damage under the Convention and its Paris Agreement as currently framed.
