This chapter aims to offer an integrative literature review on sustainability-driven human resource management (sustHRM). In particular, it first critically explores WHAT this concept means and how it differentiates from other related concepts such as green HRM, corporate social responsibility and strategic HRM. Secondly, it examines its impact in terms of the social indicators of sustainability. And finally, it reviews the different HR practices (HOW) that can be implemented to attain social sustainability. All in all, this chapter sets a roadmap for HR practitioners to guide their practices towards sustainability and provides a basis for future research to prevent this new concept from becoming a new "void" managerial fad.
