Chapter 6: Using guest speakers and day trips to teach sports economics
Restricted access

Field trips are not just for middle schoolers anymore. Most departments at Colorado College have at least one class where students go on field trips. A class with carefully planned field trips allows the instructor to get more out of their students because students feel a sense of gratitude to be part of a special experience. This chapter will lay out the details of using field trips in a Sports Economics elective. The lessons may be extended to other classes in economics.
