This is the story of a young couple in Greece that made a significant career and life change as a result of the financial crisis. The couple moved away from the capital to a small agricultural town and set up a family livestock unit. Their story is an example of career resilience and adaptability, and it is used as a basis for understanding these key concepts. We examine the assets that increase the levels of resiliency as well as the psychological strategies that support resilience, as the couple experience two negative career shocks. Furthermore, we look at their adaptability as they go through an occupational transition.
