Open access

The vocabulary in international education has shifted from "sector" to "system". Practices have not. The conclusion to this volume weaves together insights from the empirical chapters. Drawing on the diverse systems theories and methods applied in diverse empirical research sites, the editors make a series of recommendations for all actors working to improve learning for all at all levels and scales of education systems. These recommendations pose constructive challenge to those seeking to improve learners' experiences and learning outcomes, and to all of us to reflect on our role in seeking to support positive system change.
