Open access

As the world of work is changing rapidly, new topics are arising as well as the existent topics on the agenda. Regarding Turkey, inflation rates and unemployment have been the major problems for labour markets. In addition to these, digitalisation and migration issues are the new factors for labour markets. In this chapter, these problems will be addressed and evaluated in the light of social partners attitudes. The importance of social dialogue mechanisms while tackling the problems of labour market and creating an inclusive labour market has to be realised. In order to have an effective social dialogue mechanism, unionisation rates and coverage of collective labour agreements have significant importance. These issues are also addressed in relation with the national collective bargaining practices and autonomy of social partners. As Turkey is a manufacturing hub for textile, global supply chains are mentioned as a fundamental topic in the chapter.
