This case study provides an overview of labour market policies in the MENA region. The article addresses policies pertaining to youth-focused active labour market policies (ALMPs); reforms to contributory pension schemes; and minimum wage regulations. The article discusses these issues in the region with particular focus on three countries: Egypt, Tunisia and Jordan. The three countries are chosen for their political significance in the region; the level of challenges they face in these specific areas; and the occurrence of recent reforms to their systems
