Chapter 1: Introduction to Teaching Entrepreneurship, Volume Two
Full access

Chapter 1 introduces the second volume of Teaching Entrepreneurship: A Practice-Based Approach. The role of practice in entrepreneurship education is revisited and the five practices of entrepreneurship education are reviewed: play, creation, empathy, experimentation, and reflection. A discussion of how to use the five practices in course and curriculum designed is included to help educators create a more practice-based teaching methodology. By utilizing all five practices in the teaching and learning of entrepreneurship, students are more likely to develop an entrepreneurial mindset, or at a minimum shift their current way of thinking to a more entrepreneurial way.
