Legal practice is changing. Some authors refer to these changes as 'seismic'. Change is driven partly by disruptive technologies but also by changing client needs. Corporate users, of dispute resolution services in particular, are becoming more discerning in terms of the type and quality of access to justice they are looking for. This includes having a greater say in the way that their disputes are dealt with, expecting access to a variety of processes for resolving disputes to better fit the desired outcomes, and having more control over the processes themselves.
