Read and Publish Agreements
 

Elgar is pleased to work with national library consortia and university libraries to offer read and publish subscriptions to our Law journal collection and Social Science journal collection covering the cost of article processing charges (APCs) for members. 

If your university has signed up to the Read and Publish Agreement there is no fee to publish a research article Open Access in an Elgar journal.

Please contact journals@e-elgar.co.uk if you would like to arrange an OA agreement for your consortia or institution.
 


Green Open Access where required by funders
 

We comply fully with the open access requirements of UKRI, Wellcome, and NIHR.

Where required by their funder, authors retain the right to distribute their author accepted manuscript (AAM), such as via an institutional and/or subject repository (e.g. EuropePMC), under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence for release no later than the date of first online publication.

The author accepted manuscript (also known as the ‘postprint’) is the version of the work that has been accepted by the journal following peer review and includes all amendments made during that process, but which has not yet been branded, typeset, or copyedited by the publisher in any way.
 


Gold Open Access
 

Gold Open Access (making articles available for free under a CC-BY licences) is also available upon payment of an Article Processing Charge of £1600 + VAT.

Request should be made to the journal editors after the article has been submitted, peer-reviewed and accepted for publication by the Journal.  The article will be made open Access on publication once payment has been received.

The standard license for Open Access journal articles is CC-BY but please let us know if a different license is required.
