Read and Publish Journals Agreements

Elgar journal collections Read and Publish agreement
 

Elgar has agreements with some national consortia and individual universities to cover open access article processing charges (APCs) for affiliated corresponding authors.

Corresponding authors publishing an article in an Elgar journal in the current Law Collection or Social Science Collection can be published open access, free of charge. 
 

What is included in the Read and Publish agreement?

  • Unlimited OA publishing in Elgar hybrid journals in the collection subscribed to

  • CC-BY license as standard (the preferred license for funders)

  • Read access to all journals in the chosen collection

  • Post termination access rights to content published during the term
     

Which articles qualify?

  • Original peer-reviewed research, reviews and conference papers

  • There is no limit on the number of articles from each subscribing institution

  • Corresponding author must be a member of a participating institution, we will verify this with the contact provided by the subscribing institution

  • The institution must have a live Read and Publish subscription when the article is submitted (articles submitted in the subscription period may be published outside of the subscription period)
     

How do I apply / submit an article under a Read and Publish agreement?

  • Please submit your article to the journal in the normal way

  • We will check if submitted articles qualify, but it is helpful if you can highlight this during your submission as well
