It has always been the special needs for urban green spaces and parks for the elderly. As one of the main aims of the current large-scale community renewal in China, the quality-optimization of urban green spaces and parks will provide direct spatial support for the elderly-oriented regeneration. Taking Nanjing as an example, the article analyzed the accessibility of urban green spaces and parks for the elderly at the regional level; furthermore to demonstrate the impact of the accessibility of urban green spaces and parks for outdoor recreation of the elderly, 537 old people out of 15 old communities were selected as targets on the frequency of outdoor recreations, choice of the destination and distance of the destination by using questionnaires, interviews, behavior mapping as methods.
