This book chapter provides a two-part introduction into the emerging scholarly domain of Entrepreneurship as Practice (EaP). In the first part, we review the three commonalities of practice-based theories and existing practice-based entrepreneurship research in order to clearly delineate an EaP research program. The second part begins by further illustrating the utility of practice theories for entrepreneurship through an example of business registration practice. Subsequently, we introduce a methodological map to guide researchers through the process of conducting empirical EaP studies. Taken together, these two parts demonstrate that adopting practice theories allows entrepreneurship scholars to ask and answer new research questions.
