AbstractHaving become an important phenomenon in both economic and social terms, online dating has attracted the interest of social scientists from different disciplines. This chapter gives an insight into different research activities regarding online dating. A special emphasis will be put on the nature of digital partner markets and the methodological potential of this field for the social sciences. We will also raise methodical and research questions.
