Nadia Shamroukh, a former schoolteacher, trained as a lawyer. From 1990 until 2002 she worked as a volunteer at the Jordanian Women’s Union (JWU), Amman Jordan. In 2002 she was appointed General Manager of the JWU, a full-time position she continues to hold.
