Francesca Raleigh O’Connell worked in UK institutional stockbroking and corporate advisory for 27 years and is an award-winning equities investment analyst. She has a degree in English Literature and started her career at stockbroker Laing & Cruickshank in 1985. She became a Director of Panmure Gordon at the age of 30 and went on to become a Director at Investec Securities and Numis Securities. She retired in 2012 to pursue new and more varied projects. Her non-executive directorships have ranged from being on the Supervisory Board of Network Rail to being on the Advisory Board of start-up Linkup Battersea, which encourages professional women back into the workplace through volunteer projects for charities. She is also the founder of web portal SculptureLondon.
