Chapter 24: E-coaching as a technique for developing the workforce and entrepreneurs
This chapter begins by exploring the background to coaching and how online (e-) coaching is being used to overcome many of the problems associated with face-to-face coaching. It then considers the potential benefits of e-coaching for small businesses and in particular women small business owners. Drawing from their recent studies the authors examine the needs of women small business owners and outline an e-coaching programme specifically designed to meet those needs. The benefits of such a programme and its future applications are discussed.
