Chapter 5: Knowledge creation in entrepreneurial teams
Knowledge creation and the entrepreneurial team, like creativity and innovation, have been recognized as important to venture's growth. Knowledge creation plays an important role in the firm's innovation process. However, the relationship between knowledge creation and team entrepreneurship has not been explicitly examined. In this exploratory conceptual chapter, we briefly review the separate bodies of research on knowledge management creation and team entrepreneurship, then identify implications of entrepreneurial teams' dynamic in the knowledge process during the different stages of business growth, and, finally, propose some directions for future research to investigate potential synergies of knowledge management creation and team entrepreneurship.
