Chapter 16: Creativity in organizations: The intersectionality of roles, levels of analysis, and types of creativity

This chapter poses three key questions for consideration by scholars and organizational leaders interested in creativity in organizations. The first question is one of how roles affect creativity in organizations, and the second is one that is easily incorporated and integrated with the first: how can scholars and practicing leaders consider roles and creativity at different levels of analysis in order to more readily understand, stimulate and leverage creativity in organizations? Finally, once the first two questions have been thoroughly explored, a third layer is considered – how does the integration of roles and levels of analysis help us think more about the types of creativity that extant research has begun to identify and explore?
