Chapter 18: Reflections on the Turkish Cypriot approaches
Former EDEK leader Yiannakis Omerou puts forward the need for a new security system in Cyprus, one that is in tune with the modern world and is forward looking rather than beholding to its historical past. Omerou also supports an evolutionary pathway to federalism and a human rights approach to the freedoms of settlement, movement and property matters.
