Abstract

The purpose of this chapter is to explore the role of mentoring within online doctoral leadership education, with attention directed to the benefits and role of e-mentoring as a way to help aspiring leaders (doctoral students) develop the necessary skills and mindset for effective leadership. Given the shifting landscape of communication processes coupled with the exponentially changing world of computers and technology, considering the role of e-mentoring for leadership development within doctoral education is timely and necessary.
