Over the past 25 years, the number and influence of International Parliamentary Institutions (IPIs) and Parliamentary Networks (PNs) have increased considerably, in particular in the region of the Western Balkans (WB) and South East Europe (SEE). This chapter assesses the institutional capability for political dialogue of the IPIs and PNs in the Western Balkans and South East Europe. More specifically, the chapter analyses the institutional capability of a total of 15 IPIs and PNs in the Western Balkans and South East Europe by reviewing their constitutional status, degree of institutionalization and institutional authority.
