Handbook of Research on Crowdfunding
Edited by Hans Landström, Annaleena Parhankangas and Colin Mason
Abstract
The impact of crowdfunding as a solution to different kinds of inequality in access to finance (for example, gender, ethnicity, and geography) is discussed by the author, who reviews the evidence on the extent to which groups that are marginalized in terms of access to finance from traditional sources (for example, on account of gender, race or location) raise finance from the crowd.
