Handbook of Intuition Research as Practice
Edited by Marta Sinclair
Abstract
This chapter explores intuition’s ineffability in the context of teamwork and the importance of being able to put one’s intuitions into words. It illustrates how people can find a way to circumvent, mostly inadvertently, the organizational necessity to produce arguments to gain support for their intuitions. In doing so, this chapter complements current research methods on intuition by proposing to study also the rhetorical and discursive aspects of intuitive experiences’ narratives.
