Advances in Economics Education is a new economics education journal being launched by Edward Elgar in 2022. The journal will challenge the economics profession to think more critically and creatively about what we teach and how we teach it. It will publish empirical work that evaluates various approaches to teaching, papers that describe innovations in economics teaching and pedagogical techniques, work that examines the conditions within which student learning and engagement is enhanced, studies in the development of effective assessment methods, reviews of management and incentive systems that influence the teaching environment, treatments of the impact that university governance structures and public policies have on economics education, and explorations of the relationship between the higher education environment and the experience of economics graduates. The journal will take a global perspective, publishing pedagogical research from a variety of countries with an interest in differences between the experience of economics teachers around the world, and it will consider research about the teaching of economics from a range of theoretical perspectives. Work of this kind in adjacent business disciplines with overlap to economics will also be considered.

Submission of papers that address such issues is, therefore, warmly invited. Papers will be double-blind refereed, should not be longer than 8,000 words, and should be printed in 1.5 spacing. Files should be in Microsoft Word Format.

Submissions may be e-mailed to the Editor, Associate Professor Peter Docherty, Economics Group, University of Technology Sydney at peter.docherty@uts.edu.au with the message line Advances in Economics Education - Article Submission.
